The immediate past Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos, Prof.Sebastiane Maimako, has been appointed the Director General of the All Progressives Congress governorship campaign council in Plateau State.
The APC made the appointment in a statement released on Friday night by its state Publicity Secretary, Sylvanus Namang
The statement read in part, “The All Progressives Congress, Plateau State Chapter has, after strategic and broad-based consultations, released the key appointments into its gubernatorial campaign council ahead of the 2023 general elections.
“The Campaign Council, which is to be Chaired by Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, the gubernatorial candidate in the state with Hon. Rufus Bature, the State APC Chairman, as the Deputy Chairman , has the following key functionaries:
“Director-General, Prof Sebastian S Maimako; Deputy DG (Operations) – Rt Hon Shehu Yipmong; Deputy DG (Administration) – Comrade Jibrin Bancir; Deputy DG (Election Management) – Hon. Ernest Daa; Campaign Council Secretary – Prof. Shem Bindas.”
The statement said the appointments, which are with immediate effect, reflect the various geo-political, religious, and ethnic interests of the state.
It added that other remaining appointments into the respective Directorates of the campaign council shall be made in due course.
