FSDH Merchant Bank has partnered with the Lagos State Government to provide accessible healthcare financing to residents of the state.
A statement by the bank said that in the past few decades, the health sector in Nigeria had experienced continuous disruptions.
It added that with the drawbacks from traditional practices to the emergence of new technologies all around the world, more organisations were beginning to drive their support for the industry through investments.
The statement said the Managing Director, FSDH Merchant Bank, Mrs Bukola Smith, said at an event on ‘Financing healthcare in Nigeria’ that the bank’s array of financial solutions could boost revenue and promote financing in the healthcare sector.
It stated that earlier the Lagos State Commissioner of Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, while delivering his address said the government of Lagos would continue to drive polices to make healthcare and health insurance more accessible and favorable to citizens.
Also speaking, the Group Head of Corporate Banking & Branches, Stella-Marie Omogbai, said “FSDH identified the healthcare industry as an area of interest, and we put together a team of doctors and professionals who understand the business of healthcare finance.
