Billionaire entrepreneur and philanthropist, Tony Elumelu, is known to be a stylish man who is living his best life. Over the years, he seems to have perfected the art of working hard, yet doing it in style.
The Chairman of the United Bank for Africa attended the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States of America. In the course of the general assembly, the Tony Elumelu Foundation signed a partnership with the UN Capital Development Fund.
Society Plus gathered that the reason for the partnership is to support youth entrepreneurship in Africa. A memorandum of understanding was signed at the UNCDF office by Elumelu; and the Executive Secretary of UNCDF, Preeti Sinha. According to the terms of the MOU , both organisations will work hand in hand to create platforms that will connect youth enterprises with critical resources to support their business models.
As always, Elumelu stepped out looking dapper. He wore a black suit, which he complemented with red tie as he exchanged pleasantries with several esteemed personalities from all over the world, including, a former US President, Bill Clinton and his wife, Hillary the Executive Director of the Education Commission, Dr Liesbet Steer; DG of the World Health Organisation, Tedros Ghebreyesus; and the President of the African Development Bank, Akin Adesina; Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Minister of Investment and Trade, Niyi Adbayo and the Executive Director, Treasury and International Banking for the UBA group, Sola Yomi-Ajayi.
As one who is said to always maximise opportunities, Elumelu also had breakfast with American multinational technology giant, Google.
