The body of a yet-to-be-identified man has been found around the Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja, Lagos State.
The victim was suspected to have been crushed to death by a hit-and-run driver around 05.45am on Monday.
Some Twitter users had called the attention of the police and the state government to the corpse, which they said was causing gridlock.
A user, Henry Okpafi @henastropez, wrote, “There’s a male corpse while descending the flyover bridge en route Ikeja, at General Hospital on Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way. Already causing traffic on the bridge.”
A traffic warden, who identified herself only as Rukayat, told PUNCH Metro that the body was taken away by men of the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit.
She noted that dead bodies were being constantly found at the location.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said he was not aware of the incident and could not comment on it.
