The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, has returned to the country after a two-week trip to Europe.
This was made known through a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Simon Imobo-Tswam on Friday.
Saturday PUNCH gathered that Ayu’s plane arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at about 7pm on Friday.
“His plane touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at about 7pm. Ayu jetted out of the country on September 14,” the statement partly read.
Imobo-Tswam added that the party’s Deputy Chairman (North), Iliya Damagun, acted in Ayu’s place while he was away and the handover was well communicated by Ayu to the Independent National Electoral Commission.
