Thousands of residents of Bauchi State took to the streets to show their support for the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.
The ‘OBIdients’ as they call themselves, who were armed with placards, posters, fliers, banners, stickers, t-shirts, face caps and many others bearing Peter Obi and his running mate, Yusuf Datti, marched from the Multi-Purpose Indoor Sports Hall at the popular Wunti market, marched through Ahmadu Bello Way to Rain Zurfi.
They caused heavy traffic gridlock within the City Center as they obstructed free vehicular and human movements.
Motorists had to take alternative routes to get to their destinations.
The OBIdients who were on foot, in tricycles popularly called Keke NAPEP, cars, motorcycles and trucks danced to various songs they played in support of their candidate.
As they marched round, they also sensitised Nigerians on the need for them to obtain their Permanent Voter’s Cards and come out to exercise their franchise by voting massively during the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
The supporters were mostly youths though the elderly, both women and men were all also part of those who walked the distance of over 10 kilometers.
The physically challenged were also not left out as they sang, danced and carried flags of the Labour party as well as posters of Obi and his running mate.
