A tweep, @MrsZanga, has cried out over the flooding incident that continues to ravage Rivers State.
Sharing pictures of submerged buildings and residents who were passing through water that had reached their chests, and with loads on their heads, Zanga on Twitter, asked Nigerians to remember the community in prayers.
In an earlier post, she tweeted, “OK, this is a full-blown crisis. Everyone should please lend their voices to us, the Omoku people of Rivers State.”
“Please remember us in your prayers and please if you have food or money you’re not using, ‘abeggggg’ remember us and send across. It’s saving lives over here.”

Flooding has been ravaging many parts of Nigeria, particularly the coastal regions, with the government and its agencies attributing the cause to persistent rainfall and the opening of some dams, such as the Lagdo Dam in Cameroun.
