The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), is currently chairing the third Ministerial Performance Review Retreat at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
This year’s retreat, themed ‘Enhance Security, Fight Corruption, Transform The Economy’, is meant to review the regime’s progress since the last edition one year ago.
According to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, the forum serves as a safe space for self-assessment and evaluation of progress and impact of work done.
In attendance are principal officers of the National Assembly, all members of the Federal Executive Council, and Service Chiefs, among others.
The immediate past President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, is also present for the exercise.
In his opening address, Buhari noted that the exercise would, among other things, ensure the increase of electricity generation to 25,000 MegaWatts in the next six years.
The President, once again, pledged that his regime would continue to fight corruption and prosecute high-profile corruption cases speedily.
