Akintunde and Filani served as commissioners for finance and health respectively during the immediate past government headed by Dr. Kayode Fayemi.
The Deputy Speaker,Hakeem Jamiu, who presided over the plenary on Wednesday, said, “the confirmation of the two commissioner nominees followed having certified them fit for the position after screening.”
Oyebode and Filani however, promised to improve on their past performances.
The house, also at the plenary screened and confirmed Mr. Olaniran Olatona as Chairman, Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service.
The approval was unanimously supported by lawmakers at the plenary after the ad hoc screening committee had presented its report.
The deputy speaker, Jamiu, had earlier read letters forwarded to the House by the governor, Biodun Oyebanji, for confirmation of the commissioner-nominees and the chairman of the state IRS.
Jamiu also presented the governor’s request seeking approval for the 2023 – 2025 Medium Term Expenditure Framework to the lawmakers.
The MTEF document was unanimously approved after the House Leader of Government Business, Gboyega Aribisogan, moved the motion, which was seconded by the Chairman of the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Olubunmi Adelugba.
