The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Tayo Bamgbose-Martins, on Tuesday, welcomed the ministry’s new Permanent Secretary, Oluwole Sotire.
According to a statement on Tuesday, Bamgbose-Martins alongside the staff and management of the ministry welcomed Sotire in Alausa, Ikeja.
Speaking at the welcoming, the commissioner said, “I have known Sotire to be thorough, hardworking and professional in his dealings. Everyone is looking up to him to use those good qualities in managing a very demanding ministry with high expectations from the people.
“While I wish him a successful tenure, I express confidence that he would form a formidable partnership with the rest of the management to actualise the mandate of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as enshrined in the THEMES agenda.”
In his response, Sotire said he viewed his posting as another call to duty, adding that the support of all and sundry would be required to take the ministry to the next level as he promised to be fair and open in his dealings.
