According to reports in Italy, top clubs in Europe have starting putting in offers for Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, along with Napoli teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia ahead of the January transfer window, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The Partenopei have started the season in fantastic fashion under Luciano Spalletti, topping their Champions League group after handing Liverpool a 4-1 defeat and racing to first in the Italian league table with an eight-point lead over champions AC Milan.
Napoli look to be on track for their first Scudetto win in three decades, bringing back the league title to the Campania capital for the first time since the days of Argentine legend, Diego Maradona.
According to Italian publication, Il Mattino, offers have already started pouring in for Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia, two players who have played an instrumental role in the team’s successes this season.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has no intention of losing the pair, however, and won’t listen to any offers in January. The Partenopei are not planning to change things too much in the winter transfer window and are not going to entertain any interest in their stars.
