Lukman stated this while addressing newsmen shortly after a meeting with all the chairmen in the zone in Kaduna on Friday.
He said all was set to commence the party’s campaigns for the presidential, governorship, National Assembly and state assembly candidates in the zone.
Meanwhile, the presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has recognised Sa’adu Gulma as the chairman, Arewa community APC in Lagos State.
This followed the recommendation of the Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s Harmonization Committee report, to look into the leadership tussle in the Arewa community of Lagos. The committee also had Alhaji Lawal Garba as secretary.
Similarly, the APC presidential candidate had endorsed Aminu Yaro as the sole Sarkin Hausawa of Lagos and recommended that Dr Mohammad Banbado remained the only Sarkin Fulani of Lagos.
Tinubu made the endorsement while receiving a report submitted by the harmonisation committee.
Lukman, who is a former Director-General of Progressives Governors’ Forum, also said the North-West zone was set to give the party the highest votes and lead it to victory in all the elections.
He said, “This is one of our regular meetings. We met with four party chairmen from the zone. The objective of the meeting is to begin to plan for the campaign in North-West at the presidential and other levels.
“The North-West zone remains the backbone of our party. We took report of our readiness at each state and reviewed the development at the national level and we are optimistic that the APC will sweep the polls in the North-West zone.
“We are taking every step to organise ourselves and pull the votes as usual. We don’t have any fear to succeed, to pull the votes, and the APC will win at the centre and all our North-West states including Sokoto.
“The APC presidential campaign in the North-West zone will commence from Kaduna December 12. We have agreed to make some recommendations from the presidential campaign council on what needs to be done.
“Stakeholders’ meeting of the zone should properly plan on the commencement of the campaign in the North-West. We have secured a presidential campaign office for the zone along Independence Way. It should be ready within one week,” Lukman said.
“The North-West as it is today remains the back bone of our party in the country and we have to take every step to demonstrate that truly, the North-West is the backbone of our party during the campaign.
“We don’t have any fear at the moment that we will succeed in pulling the votes from the North-West. By God’s grace, the APC will remain the party in power at the national level and all our states, including Sokoto which is today not our state; we are going to reclaim it,” he said.
