Meanwhile, the singer recently had one of his dreams come true when he performed at the ongoing World Cup in Qatar. Some months back, he had tweeted, “God, I want to perform ‘Buga’ for (sic) the World Cup with a mass choir. Help me say ‘amen’.” He later returned to social media to inform his fans that he would be performing at the hugely popular tournament.
On Wednesday, November 23, Daniel finally lived his dream as he mounted the stage in Qatar dressed in a Gucci outfit. Songs he performed include ‘Buga’, ‘Cough’ and ‘One Ticket’.
While on stage, Daniel also paid a tribute to the late afrobeats icon, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, when he performed the latter’s song titled, ‘Lady’.
