Italian Police have detained a woman identified as Sandra Fratus, 51, on suspicion of killing her Nigerian husband, Ernest Emperor Mohamed.
According to the police, the suspect allegedly attempted to revive the victim after stabbing him by massaging his heart prior to the arrival of paramedics.
Sandra Fratus is being charged with “voluntary homicide aggravated by futile reasons.”
On Friday night, November 25, 2022, Fratus allegedly stabbed 31-year-old Mohammed in the chest with a knife following a violent argument at their home in Morengo, a town in Bergamo province.
According to the police, the suspect allegedly attempted to revive the victim after stabbing him by massaging his heart prior to the arrival of paramedics.
The woman’s 23-year-old son was the first to discover what had happened after arriving home and seeing that his mother had changed her relationship status on Facebook to “widow.”
Sandra Fratus is being charged with “voluntary homicide aggravated by futile reasons.”
The defense attorney for the suspect hinted that Sandra may have reached for the knife in an effort to defend herself by stating that there had been “deep discomfort and fragility” in the home for some time.
