The fire was said to have completely destroyed 14 classrooms, 12 offices, and 21 toilets within the school premises.
The Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Abdullahi, confirmed the incident in a statement on Monday.
He explained that the Bichi Fire Service station received an emergency call from a resident of the area, one Alhaji Gaddafi Sani Bagwai, that there was a fire outbreak in the school.
He said that on arrival at the school, the rescue team discovered that a building used as Tsangaya Model boarding primary school, was engulfed by the inferno.
Abdullahi explained that the fire started from the administrative block, pointing out that the school solar system was the cause of the fire.
The public relations officer stated that no life was lost during the unfortunate incident as all the students were successfully evacuated.
