According to them, the world as we know it has evolved greatly, vlogging and documenting our daily lives has become an integral part of the human existence, the importance of the front camera has significantly increased, it’s for this reason that Infinix released the ZERO 20. Infinix have marketed the zero 20 as a perfect fit for aspiring and budding content creators and vloggers. We would be looking at the Design, Display, Camera and other features of the Zero 20,what does this phone have that makes it different from the rest? Let’s see.
Let’s Unbox
In the box, you will find an anti-slip phone cover, 3.5mm earphones, a white USB cord, a 45W power adapter, an instruction manual, a warranty certificate, a SIM ejector, and a Zero 20 device.
In addition, you’ll also find in the box a 1.5GB voucher from MTN and an invitation to join the X-club which is Infinix’s loyalty scheme.
DESIGN: The zero 20 feels boxy, lighter and thick, it feels a lot like an Iphone. A wonderful thing about the phone is that it can stand on its own, like it stands. It also feels wider in the hand because of the flat screen. It is premium and definitely looks like. It’s also easy to hold, not slippery, with a good tactile surface.
I especially love the camera module, the camera bump is massive and protrudes, and it has matte plastic finish on the back with a chrome glossy frame. It has a sort of art deco aesthetic to it.
Only the corners are curved; the front and back are perfectly flat, as are the edges. It also has a distinct color scheme, with a dual-tone matte finish in gold and yellow.
The zero 20 is a stand out design with a better camera bump. Depending on how the light strikes on the smartphone, it moves from orange to a kind of bluey greeny hue.
The phone has a USB type-C port, microphone, SIM card slot, and a speaker grill on the bottom frame. While the volume rocker and power button are located on the right-hand side of the frame and a 3.5mm headphone jack port is located on the top of the frame.
CAMERA:
The Zero 20 has an impressive 60MP OIS selfie camera, as an upcoming content creator, I was blown away by that. Another thing that blew me away with the camera is the OIS(optical image stablization), that allowed me snap clear and sharp photographs, also bye bye to shaky shots. With the support of OIS, the Super Night Selfie Mode on the front camera, my selfies are very clear in all lighting conditions. The anti-shake technology enables me to record stable footage on the move.
For a smartphone that is designed for storytellers and photography lovers, the ZERO 20 not only offers a 60MP OIS premium front-facing camera experience but also offers improvements in vlogging features, and self-capture photography capabilities. Whether in motion, day or night, the ZERO 20 front camera guarantees a stable for a more realistic capturing experience utilizing auto-focus for ultra-clear shots.
The rear camera has a 108MP rear camera that supports a multi-style creation mode and you can zoom up to 10x zoom for shots at a distance. Both the front and back camera comes in film mode.

Whether you are creating content by day or at night, the 60Mp OIS front camera and 108MP rear camera on the zero 20 has got you covered as the pictures they produced are clear, crispy and beautiful.
DISPLAY:
The Infinix Zero 20 has a large 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz which makes the smartphone decently sharp and colourful. The screen is flat and has an auto-refresh rate of 60Hz to 90Hz. At first glance, the screen has bezels, and the phone weighs about 196 g. (6.91 oz). The back panel, like the front screen, is flat, and you can see the huge frame between the front glass and the back panel. The Infinix Zero 20’s display has good colors and a smooth refresh rate of 90Hz.
MediaTekHelio G99 Performance: For Day-to-day performance, the MediaTekHelioG99 is excellent and more than adequate for all daily tasks. It doesn’t play the most demanding games with the highest settings, but plays most games perfectly well.
Infinix Zero 20 has the new MediaTekHelio G99 chipset. This 4G chipset is built on a 6nm process technology. It has an Octa-core CPU (8-core processor) and an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The chipset has two performance cores and six efficiency cores, and it performs admirably well. The Helio G99 chipset is power efficient, and this is true even under heavy use because the phone does not overheat.
For everyday use, the chipset is more than enough to get all the job done, however, the chipset prevents you from playing games on the Infinix Zero 20 with the highest graphics settings.
The performance of the chipset is however smooth when switching between apps.
RAM, STORAGE AND SOFTWARE
In terms of storage capacity, Infinix Zero 20 has 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. The 8GB of RAM is supported by 5GB of virtual RAM making it a total of 13GB of RAM. It has a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion. The RAM performs admirably in keeping background apps running, and the internal storage is adequate for storing your files, but you can always expand with a microSD card.
On the software front, the Infinix Zero 20 has XOS 12 based on Android 12 out of the box, although there is no word from Infinix how many years of software or security patch the phone will get.
BATTERY
It has a 4500mAh which is actually decent but the good thing is that it is paired with a 45W fast charger. 50 mins of charging the battery will take you from 0 to 100%, which is impressive.
Battery life is pretty good, the whole advantage with having a processor built on a smaller nanometer like the G99 is power efficiency so the phone consumes less battery. If you’re a light phone user, the occasional gaming, music listening, texting, social media, you can go all day with this phone but on heavier days, it wouldn’t. The battery of the phone can last you for 8 hours of intensive use and a full day of light use.
CONCLUSION
If you expect my verdict on the Infinix Zero 20 smartphone, considering its sleek design and feel, camera, battery, high performance, and price, I will rate it an 8/10. This device is definitely a phone I would encourage upcoming and budding content creators to buy as it will serve them creatively both day and night,
The Zero 20 is affordable, sells for N247,300, and is available in any of their partner outlets.
