Recall that on Wednesday, December 7, the popular singer was reportedly arrested and detained by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) over alleged fraud.
The kokomaster was accused of fraudulently diverting funds meant to empower youths under the N-Power project into his personal accounts.
He was alleged to have conspired with corrupt government officials to introduce “ghost beneficiaries” onto the payroll of the funds.
Following the news, Regina took to her Instagram page to share the report with her followers and said she’s patiently waiting to hear D’banj’s statement on the allegation.
However, this didn’t go down well with Alex Ekubo, who slid into her DM and expressed disappointment in her for posting about the arrest.
Reacting, she questioned if she shouldn’t speak the ‘truth’ out of fear of being dragged online, or because D’banj is a popular figure loved by many. She however eventually agreed to delete the post and thanked the actor for looking out of her.
In response, Alex said it’s wrong for a celebrity like Regina Askia to post about the downfall of another celebrity because there are numerous blogs for that already.
