Former Lazio goalkeeper, Marco Ballotta, has hailed the impact of Nigeria international, Victor Osimhen, in Luciano Spalletti’s Napoli’s side in their chase for the Scudetto.
The Super Eagles goal poacher has established himself as an important player for Naples with his good run of form, scoring 10 goals with three assists in 14 appearances for the Parthenopeans this season.
His fine form has helped Napoli top Serie A with 41 points from 15 matches and also lead their Champions League group with 15 points, winning five of their six matches.
“Napoli is now one of those teams that I like to see because I’m really enjoying it. Osimhen, you can feel it when he’s missing, but I really admire Osimhen’s determination, and his desire to win,” Ballotta told Napoli Magazine.
“I say he’s a team player, a driver, with the attitude he has, he’s good for everyone.”
The 23-year-old striker is currently with Napoli in their mid-season training camp in Turkey.
He featured in Napoli’s 3-2 victory against Antalyaspor on Wednesday evening at the Antalya Stadium.
