A number of actors and other celebrities attended an exclusive screening of a streaming platform, Showmax’s original series titled, ‘Crime and Justice Lagos’.
The event, which held in Maryland, Lagos, during the week, was attended by the lead actors in the series.
The first episode of the crime series was screened to journalists and other stakeholders, who applauded the cast and crew for a job well done. The lead actors also talked about how they had to task themselves to eventually come up with something that would appeal to audiences.
One of the lead actors, Folu Storms, who played the role of SP Kelechi Farasin, said, “Every episode tells a new crime story, but the main characters in the ‘Serious and Special Crimes Unit’ continue to evolve through the episodes.
“As much as it is a procedural crime series, it also covers real human-angle stories. Each character will evolve. Viewers will learn more about them after every episode, and all things will finally make sense at the end. Viewers will have to watch till the sixth (final) episode to get the full picture.”
Her partner in the series, Jammal Ibrahim, who played the role of SP Danladi Dikko, expressed excitement at being a part of the series. He said, “I have never seen anything like this on TV. Our producer, Yinka Edward, is a perfectionist who made sure every scene came out as they should. All that stress and pain were worth it because of the quality of the finished product.”
