The Osun State government has said the six executive orders issued by the new governor, Ademola Adelele, were already clearing the rot he inherited from the last administration.
This was contained in a statement signed by the spokesperson to the governor, Olawale Rasheed.
It stated that people within and outside the state had been commending Adeleke’s prompt actions through the executive orders he issued, as well as the corrective measures which were aimed at laying a new foundation for the delivery of good governance in the state.
The statement read in part, “We want to put it on record that all men of goodwill, as well as leaders and supporters in and outside Osun State, commend the prompt actions of Governor Adeleke through those executive orders, and his many corrective measures, which have laid a new foundation for the delivery of good governance in the state.
“Governor Adeleke has been working day and night for the past two weeks to put the state on the right footing. Unlike the past government that unleashed terror on the state, the governor has not and will not harass anybody.
“As the most popular governor in recent Osun history, there is no iota of truth in APC’s allegations of intimidation. The governor’s position is that governance should be based on due process, public service regulations, extant laws and the provisions of the constitution, irrespective of whose ox is gored.”
