The Elisha-Elizabeth Arokodare Foundation, a non-governmental organisation created with a vision to provide assistance to the underprivileged, on Saturday marked its 15th anniversary.
The NGO, which was founded in honour of the late Pastor Elisha Arokodare, observed its crystal anniversary in Lagos, with major stakeholders in attendance.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the foundation, who is also the President of Aviation Safety Round Table Initiative in Nigeria, Dr Gabriel Olowo, advised stakeholders not to be weary of doing good and to keep up with the aims and objectives of the foundation.
Olowo, in an interview with Sunday PUNCH, said he was also a product of communal efforts and “became who I am today because help and people came through for me.”
The septuagenarian said he could not imagine what would have become of him if help did not come as his father could not afford to send him to secondary school. He said there were potential wasting out there because they were not getting help.
