The Achievers University, Ondo State, has offered automatic employment and scholarships to five first-class graduates of Medical and Laboratory Studies of the institution.
Similarly, the institution also offered scholarships to 10 graduates of nursing, who bagged first class. The scholarships would last till the Ph.D. level.
The Pro-chancellor of the institution, Dr Bode Ayorinde, made the announcement at the induction ceremonies of graduates of MLS and nursing.
Both ceremonies took place during the 12th convocation of the university.
During the induction of the MLS, Ayorinde said the five MLS first-class graduates would be “offered automatic employment by the institution and as they are working, they will be given the opportunity to run their masters and doctorate degrees with a full scholarship. Even if they want to have their NYSC here, we will allow them.”
However, the Achievers University boss, said, “they will sign a bond to work for five years with us after which they can go if they want to, “ the pro-chancellor said.
After the administration of the oath and presentation of the license to the 98 MLS graduates, the pro-chancellor stated that the first-class nursing graduates who had distinguished themselves in character and learning would be enjoying scholarships up to Ph.D. level at the institution.
In his remarks earlier, the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Samuel Aje, disclosed that 136 students were examined and qualified as graduate nurses for induction.
