A Nigerian-Canadian singer, songwriter and producer, JohnF Emmanuel, has released his debut album titled, ‘Brighter Day’.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the 16-track album, he told Saturday Beats in a statement, “The album expresses my past, present and future. I made certain to express my capacity in all the songs on the album. I also ensured that every genre is represented, reflecting the dynamic of what I can do with this amazing gift God has given to me. I am prepared to let the world know and feel my impact through my music. Some of the songs were written in my darkest moments at the university. The project presents hope for anyone going through hard times to hang in there because no matter how long darkness thrives, daylight cannot be denied. I am certain that the album will work like therapy for troubled minds.”
Mostly produced by a record label executive, Boluwatitife Akintewe trading as ‘Anticankerworm’, and a few by Uk Fliptunes music executive, Hamza, the 16-track album is a mix of creativity and diversity.
Speaking on the importance of his sound, JohnF added, “Music is the best form of art, and it is an integral part of the African culture, where rhythm and melodies are used as tools to pass down beautiful stories of black people from generation to generation, as well as preserve the African culture on the global stage.”
