The official brand sponsor of the Nigerian Para Powerlifting Federation and the producer of Peak milk, FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC, rounded off the last calendar year in a spectacular fashion as it played host to Mr. Sunday Dare, the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development, at their corporate office on Thursday, 8 December 2022.
The top management of the company, led by the Managing Director, Mr. Ben Langat, was there to welcome the Minister and his entourage to the facilities of the country’s leading dairy manufacturing company.
While expressing appreciation to the Minister for his visit, Langat reaffirmed the company’s support for the Nigeria Para-Powerlifting Federation and outlined FrieslandCampina WAMCO’s corporate purpose, as a company to achieve their goals by enhancing capacity with the belief that every Nigerian has the right to reach for their Peak.
While expressing appreciation to the Minister for his visit, Langat reaffirmed the company’s unwavering commitment as the Official Partner of the Nigerian Para-Powerlifting Federation and the Unstoppables, to continue to nourish and empower the Nigerian youth to reach their Peak, regardless of any limitation.

We designed the Unstoppable Campaign to tell the story of this remarkable set of people who have continued to break new grounds in spite of their physical limitations. Peak has touched the lives of many Nigerians with this campaign. It has become so powerful and is receiving very positive testimonials from all stakeholders”, Langat said.
Peak Milk also honored the three outstanding winners of its recent Unstoppable Humans of Change campaign during the visit.
Elated by Peak’s massive support for sports development and excellence especially with the Nigerian Para Powerlifting team, the Sports Minister, Mr. Sunday Dare, who took time off from the ongoing National Sports Festival in Asaba to keep a date with the company, commended Peak as a top brand in the annals of sports sponsorship in Nigeria.
According to the Honourable Minister, “This impressive level of investment in Nigerian sports with increased support to the Nigerian Para Powerlifting Federation and the Nigeria Football Federation is worthy of note and highly commendable. You have been a formidable pillar of support in encouraging our sportsmen and women to do their utmost to reach their peak’’.
The Para Powerlifting Team led by the President of the federation, Chiemeka Charles Ezenwame and the captain of the para powerlifting team, Folasade Oluwafemiayo also graced the occasion with other board members and athletes.
In February 2019, as part of its brand support for the para-powerlifters, Peak Milk donated an international Paralympic Committee-approved mobility 12-seater bus and 15 wheelchairs. The bus which was recently refurbished is equipped with automated lift and other features to ensure convenience and the safety of athletes.
Also in 2018, Peak Milk renovated the powerlifting gym at the National Stadium, Lagos and provided world-class training equipment with full wheelchair accessibility. The brand donated 15 sports wheelchairs to the athletes and sponsored the para-powerlifters to the 9th Fazza Championship in Dubai, UAE where they won four gold medals.
The athletes have been constantly nourished with monthly supplies of Peak Milk since December 2016 till date.
