The people of Southern Kaduna were on Saturday told to vote in only people that knew the land and how to solve the myriad of challenges confronting the area.
The Chairman of the Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association, Apostle Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, gave this charge during the 21st Southern Kaduna Prayer Summit held at the Kafanchan Township Stadium.
Kure also urged the electorate not to vote along religious or ethnic considerations.
The cleric, who explained that the people would not vote based on religious or ethnic sentiments, added that they would be more strategic in their choices.
“The Southern Kaduna region will not vote for any presidential, governorship candidate that doesn’t know us by name or a sense of what we have suffered for more than 30 to 40 years,” he said.
He said region had no new developmental centres, no new cities, adding the voting strength of the region was bigger than 18 states.
He explained that the essence of the prayer summit was to unite the people and kingdoms for the restoration of the land, having spent three years without a formal gathering to pray due to COVID-19.
