The gospel singer, who tied the knot with her heartthrob, Sam, in a grand ceremony last December, recently took to her Instagram page to share new photos of them, including one that showed them kissing.
The loved-up photos, however, didnt seem to sit well with some social media users who opined that they were too intimate to be shared online.
They urged her to emulate her parents and keep her marriage off social media.
An Instagram follower, @jenniscus wrote, “This public kissing is not decent atall…. some things are meant to be private not public….”
Another user @laraoma3380 wrote, “Deborah, Deborah, Deborah ,how many times did I call you.pls my beloved take your home and marriage off social media.”
Another follower, who claimed to be a member of Pastor Paul Enenche’s church, wrote a very lengthy piece about how Deborah’s parents’ social media pages only portray how they win souls for Christ and encouraged her to follow in their footsteps.
“I need you to work on yourself, this is not right . this is pure addiction to people validation on social media. This is your husband office and also your kissing and so on should be done privately too . Please behave like your parents whose photos on social media is portraying how they won lives to Christ , they are doing all these things you are posting but they don’t bring them on social media.
Those hailing you are not helping you. You are called to be Gospel artist , we need to see photos of people you mentored into singing just like Moses Bliss is doing , Mercy Chinwo timeline is filled her ministrations as well. You are also called to Bar by the Grace of God , please let’s see photos of how you won cases for the innocent people in court , how you stood for the oppressed.
I’m tired of these romantic photos , we have seen more than these from Kim Kardashian and Beyonc , Simi , etc. Nothing you go post wey we never see before. Please is an advise , Many people including the ones hailing you are tired but scared of speaking up , I just speak the mind of many people especially we from DUNAMIS church. ?” He wrote.
Reacting, Deborah told one of her critics, “I didn’t even read it all but I can tell you’re really sad. I won’t stop being happy about being married. And I won’t stop serving God the way I’ve been called to also. If you can’t deal with that please block me. Thanks.”
