The Rivers State Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress has appointed Moford Temple as the new acting state Chairman of the state.
The state chairperson of the congress, Comrade Beatrice Itubo, disclosed her decision to appoint an acting chairman following her interest in active politics.
Itubo is the governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Rivers State for the March 11 election.
She disclosed Temple would remain in office until March 7, 2023.
Following the appointment of Temple, a three-man committee has been appointed for the state delegates’ election scheduled for March 7, 2023.
Those appointed include Comrade Eze Awashi (Chairman), Comrade Matthew Olabe (Secretary), Comrade Derefaka Promise (Member).
