Speaking to journalists shortly after voting, the governor expressed satisfaction with the maturity being exhibited by the electorates in the state.
He applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission for the introduction of various reforms, especially the Bi-Modal Voters Accreditation System.
“I am highly fulfilled and accomplished. We give praise and gratitude to our creator, the Almighty Allah that has made us to see this day that we are electing our new president and national assembly members after so many fears.
“I want to express my satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the polls in my polling unit, definitely we can say democracy is progressing,” he said.
The governor urged teeming supporters of his party to remain focused and not engage in any electoral malpractice for the smooth conduct of the elections in the state.
Also speaking, the First Lady, applauded the full participation of women in the process in her polling unit and urged them not to relent in supporting the process for democratic development.
