Scores of voters in many communities of Ohaji/Egbema and Owerri West Local Government Areas in Imo State have taken to social media to lament the unavailability of the Independent National Electoral Commission ad hoc staff in their polling units thereby disenfranchising them from participating in the 2023 general election.
A few of them who spoke with our correspondent said that until 12:00 pm, officials of the INEC had yet to be seen at the polling units across the LGAs.
A Facebook user, Don Landers, wrote, “No INEC officials here in Owerri West LGA, Imo State.”
Another user, Don Darlington Onyiriuka, said, “No election materials have been found anywhere in Ohaji/Egbema till now.”
“No electoral materials and officials in all the polling units in Awarra/Ikwerede ward and Assa Obile ward,” Obijuru Kainjidam opined.
