The INEC Returning Officer for the election, Prof. Jonathan Dabak, of the Department of Biochemistry, University of Jos declared the results on Monday.
According to the Returning Officer, Bagos scored 95,637 votes to beat seven other candidates including the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Gideon Davou, a serving LGA chairman for Jos South who polled 27,235 votes
The PUNCH reports that Bagos, who is the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Anti-Corruption, won the seat for the second time
The lawmaker in a remark described his victory as the handiwork of God and support from the people .
The lawmaker, who thanked the people for the victory, promised to deliver more dividends of democracy during his second term
