Tinubu, who secured a total of 8,794,726 to emerge winner of the election, gave his speech at the National Collation Centre conducted at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.
He stated that it is indeed his turn to rule Nigeria, and appealed to his fellow contestants to join hands with him to build a better Nigeria.
Tinubu said;
“It’s actually my turn. I’m profoundly humbled to serve as the 16th President of our beloved country. This is a shining moment in the life of any man and an affirmation of our democratic existence;
I take this opportunity to appeal to my fellow contestants to let us team up together. It is the only nation we have. It is one country and we must build together.”
The former two-term Lagos state governor polled a total of 8,794,726 votes, to beat his main opponents Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi in the election.
