The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Taraba State, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, has launched his campaign ahead of March 11 governorship election with a pledge to tackle insecurity and create jobs for the people of the state.
Addressing a crowd of his supporters in Zing and Yorro Local Government Areas, Bwacha said Taraba State had been bedevilled by lack of development occasioned by poor leadership, stressing that it was time to change the narratives.
He said his administration, if elected, would focus on security, harnessing the agricultural potential of the state and youth empowerment across all the 16 local government areas of the state.
The senator stressed that it was time for the people of Taraba State to enjoy the dividends of democracy, noting that it was only the APC that can make that happen.
“Do not allow anyone deceive you that APC has no governorship candidate in Taraba State, I am the legitimate Governorship candidate of APC in Taraba state, because we have conducted a fresh primaries and I emerged as the winner, INEC and all other authorities are aware, and if it means going to court we have the capacity to do so,” he said.
On his part the Taraba State APC Chairman, Mr Ibrahim El-sudi, said the ruling People Democratic Party in the state had divided the people across ethnic and religious lines.
He pleaded with the people to come out en masse on the March 11, 2023, to elect Bwacha as governor.
