Tems, who was nominated in the category of Best Original Song for her contribution as a songwriter on “Lift Me Up,” one of the songs on Marvel’s “Black Panther,” attended the event, which was held at the Dolby Theatre, Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles, US, rocking a quite dramatic white dress with a long train and huge shoulder piece that wrapped around her head.
It is clear from videos posted online that those seated behind her struggled to peer over her dress in order to catch a glimpse of the stage since the shoulder piece impeded their view.
This didn’t sit well with the netizens who dragged her to filth over her choice of outfit to the star-studded event. Many tagged her “rude” and “selfish” for completely blocking the view of others in an attempt to make a fashion statement.
“I know whomever is behind Tems is mad as Hell,” A Twitter user wrote.
“I can’t help but laugh because every time I see Tems I know them people behind her are SICK,” another tweep wrote.
