The distribution which commenced immediately after an inspection was done at the Jos branch of the Central Bank of Nigeria had party agents and other stakeholders in attendance.
Speaking with journalists during the distribution exercise, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Oliver Agundu, expressed confidence that the commission would conduct a hitch free election.
He said inspection has been done and ensured that the materials present are the ones meant for the state.
“All the identified shortcomings in the previous election and those that directly concern the commission from our actions or inactions, we have taken steps to correct them.
We expect that those shortcomings in the previous election won’t happen in the coming election and we hope that the general public will also conduct themselves accordingly so that we can have hitch-free elections,” he said.
