Ajadi said he rejected promises offered by the former governor, noting that his party is not in alliance with any political party.
The NNPP governorship candidate who spoke in Abeokuta on Thursday, said he rejected the offers because it is against the interest of the people of the state.
He said, “When his candidate was still in court, I met with Amosun and he wanted to support me but unfortunately, we could not work together because his candidate, Biyi Otegbeye eventually won the case. That was the reason why our meeting could not yield any positive result.
“Amosun was the only one who had called me to step down for Biyi Otegbeye and I was offered a lot of things, but I could not agree because I can’t sell Nigerian youths because I’m an ambassador for the Nigerian youths.
“I am still in the race; there is no going back on my ambition, I’m not in any alliance with any political party or candidate.”
Ajadi also denied the rumour that his party will collapse the structure for the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ladi Adebutu.
He further said, “Nobody has the funds to buy my party and Olufemi Ajadi, they don’t have that fund. No politician in Nigeria has that fund to buy me off the ballot.
“As long as I am still standing as an ambassador for the Nigerian youths, I can never sell out. I am still standing on my feet and we are not negotiating with any political party and we are not ready to negotiate.
“Although I have been told that it is always good to have alliance with other political parties, I don’t believe in such because I believe that it is only God that can enthrone a leader.
He revealed that he was shocked when he heard that his party had formed an alliance with the PDP. Those that were involved in this did not inform me as the candidate of the party, adding that that was not how things are done.
