The governor, in a statement, by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, on Wednesday, described Tinubu as an icon of progressive politics in the country.
He noted that the septuagenarian had contributed immensely to the political development of Nigeria, even before the country’s return to democracy in 1999.
Abiodun added that the President-elect, despite his advance in age, had continued to demonstrate his political sagacity, capacity and astuteness, pointing out that 71 looked good on him.
He said the progressives would celebrate the birthday by working towards making the country great.
While praying for a long life, good health and strength for the President-elect, the governor said that Nigeria would witness a massive positive turn-around under the leadership of Tinubu.
He submitted that a new Nigeria would emerge under the watch of Tinubu, who according to him, is “God’s gift to Nigeria,” particularly, at the present time when the country needs a unifier at the helm.
