This was disclosed by the agency’s general manager, Aderonke Abokede, on Wednesday, at the inauguration of a Community Primary School in Dagbolu, Osun State.
Abokede, who said five of the projects have been completed out of the 98, further explained that the projects include a fence and gatehouse for the school, as well as, borehole and Ventilated Improved Pit toilets.
Commending Adeleke for his commitment to improving basic economic and social conditions of the communities, Abokede urged the host communities to ensure the maintenance of the buildings and other amenities provided by the government.
She said, “Education is the key to eliminating inequality and reduction of poverty; hence the implementation of this project in this Community Primary School, here in Dagbolu to provide a conducive place for teaching and learning.
“This commissioning is only possible because of the funding provided by the Executive Governor of the State Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke. 98 micro-projects are been funded across the state out of which 5 micro projects are in this school.”
In his remarks, Adeleke, who was represented by his deputy, Kola Adewusi, said the project was proof of his administration’s commitment to the implementation of inclusive education.
