No fewer than 30 players competed for honours in the April edition of the Chess Heights Osun, which was held at the Fingerlicking Restaurant and Sports Bar in Osogbo, the Sun State capital.
Participants competed in the open and ladies categories.
After six rounds of hostilities, Olosegun Omolola came out tops with a perfect six points.
Rimamsomteti Ayuba, with five points, followed in second place, with the third place a tie between Samuel Oladunjoye and Dominic Itua, each with four-and-a-half points.
For the ladies category Adanwakaego Chukura was first with four points, while Oluwasemilore Olla was second to claim the available prizes in the category.
The next edition of the event holds Saturday, May 6.
