A budding rapper, Uchenna Ogbuo, aka Bankzthahustler, has said that his latest single titled, ‘Stepcurry’, was recorded to inspire anybody who listens to it to work hard.
In a statement sent to Saturday Beats, the rapper said, “The song is a high-energy track that celebrates the hustle and hard work it takes to achieve success, just like what the American basketball star, Stephen Curry, does. I am confident that my charismatic delivery on the song will be enjoyed by fans. I am also happy about the fact that the producer, Lynzz, provided a perfect backdrop for my rhymes.
“I am really excited to be sharing this new single with my fans. I basically wanted to create a song that inspires people to work hard and chase their dreams. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it.”
The Benin, Edo State-born entertainer also stated that the song showcases his unique blend of catchy hooks, clever wordplay, and hard-hitting beats.
Disagreeing with the notion in some quarters that rap music is dead, the artiste said, “I totally disagree with that assertion. As far as I am concerned, rap music can never die; at least, not in my lifetime. Rap is a highly intellectual form of music, and it is not for everybody. There are still many people out there that are passionate about rap music. Of course, these days, people seem to prefer fast-paced and funky tunes; but rap also caters to a segment of music lovers who cannot do without it. Many people have told me that I rekindled their love for rap music. As far as I am concerned, rap music is not dead; it only needs more dedicated fans, who will ‘propagate the gospel’ around the world.”
The singer’s other songs include ‘Hustle’ and ‘Benin City Breeze’.
