The governor urged them to promote forgiveness and peace among the people.
In his Easter message to the people of the state, signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Bala Dan-Abu, Ishaku said Easter, marked throughout the world, came with a big lesson about sacrifice and forgiveness.
The message read, “There can only be peace among our people and communities if we all resolve to forgive one another and make concessions on issues that tend to generate conflicts and crises among them.
“I am happy that my mantra of ‘Give Me Peace and I will Give You Development’ has found firm roots in the minds of all Tarabans and I urge you to let the spirit of peace, love and forgiveness guide your attitudes, actions and relationship with your fellow men.”
Governor Ishaku who, said in a few weeks he would be passing the baton of leadership in the state to a new person elected by the people, called for support for the incoming administration of Col. Agbu Kefas.
While saying he would be leaving office as a fulfilled and happy person, having successfully laid a solid foundation on which subsequent occupants of the highest seat of power in the state could build, Ishaku appealed to the people of the state not to distract the incoming administration.
