The Federal Polytechnic Damaturu has awarded a contract for the construction of an FM radio station in the institution to an Ogun State-based company, Omoluabi Construction Company.
The contract also covers the provision of equipment necessary for the take-off of the radio station.
While handing over the construction site to the company, the Rector of the institution Engr. Usman Kallamu, urged the contractor to ensure qualitative work is done, leaving no room for error.
He added that the polytechnic will not compromise quality and standards.
Kallamu who was represented by the Deputy Rector Administration, Dr Ibrahim Babale Gashua, revealed that the project is being funded through a revitalization fund and will undergo a series of monitoring.
Kallamu urged the contractor to stick to specifications and live up to expectations, stressing that it will qualify them for future consideration.
In his response, the Group Chairman of Ojulowo Omoluabi Empire Holdings Limited, Dr Victor Eniola Mark, assured the institution of the company’s stance on virtues and quality.
Mark, who was represented by Ahmed Ogunlesi, noted that the integrity and track record of the company and its many subsidiaries which led to the award of the contract is one that they will uphold.

Omoluabi Construction Company is a subsidiary of Ojulowo Omoluabi Empire Holdings Limited located in the Abeokuta area of Ogun State.
