The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 10 Headquarters, Sokoto State, AIG Bello Dalijan, has commended the National Chairman, Police Community Relations Committee, Alhaji Ibrahim Olaniyan for his wonderful efforts and strides to ensure the committee attains success.
Dalijan described Olaniyan’s efforts as visible, clear and unambiguous for every good citizen of the country to see.
The Zone 10 police command was established in December 2002 and it is located in the North-West zone, comprising Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara state commands.
The AIG disclosed this during a visit to his office by the PCRC officials on Friday.
“Senior police officers who have been watching with keen interest and monitoring PCRC activities nationwide are happy with the level at which the current leadership is operating,” Dalijan said.
The visit led by Olaniyan also involved the presentation of Ramadan packages to senior police officers in the Zone and also applauding them for their efforts in elections activities and ensuring a peaceful environment across the state.
Daligan urged Olaniyan and the PCRC to keep up the good work across the country.
“Continue to be that strong and reliable bridge between the Nigeria Police and the community for very good reasons,” he added.
Addressing the AIG, Olaniyan attributed the achievements of the PCRC under his leadership to the consolidation moves on the foundation laid by the immediate past National Chairman, Ambassador Farouk Maiyama.
He also acknowledged the overwhelming support currently being enjoyed under the leadership of the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba.
