The new Governing Council of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere Ekiti, has presented about 33 courses to the National Universities Commission for approval.
Welcoming the NUC resource verification team at the university, the Chairman, BOUESTI Governing Council, Prof. Dioo Aina, explained that it was a new dawn for the institution as the state government had given them the mandate to reposition the educational institution.
Aina said the council was confident that the courses would get NUC approval, urging the team to be fair and objective in carrying out their checks.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Victor Adeoluwa, said the university had the required structure, manpower, and facilities required by the NUC, adding that the varsity had upgraded within the last two years. The NUC team lead, who doubles as the Director of Academic Planning, Clara Abu, explained that the commission was committed to raising the bar of education standards in the country.
