Nigerian Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, has visited Lagos State Commissioner of Police Idowu Owohunwa ahead of his highly anticipated concert in the state.
A series of videos and photos from the visit showed the DMW boss with his crew members in a roundtable talk with the commissioner and other security personnel.
Speaking on the safety of all attendees, Davido noted that the safety of his fans and hosts who will attend the ‘Timeless’ concert on the 23rd of April prompted his visit
He said partnering with the Police remains his team’s way of putting security in place for all attendees.
He said: “People are concerned over security, so that’s why we came to let people know that we are putting in measures, collaborating with the Lagos Police to secure the followers that come to watch the show, to get in and leave safely.
“Also, I thought it is important for us to come because people don’t do this. Artists wouldn’t come, maybe the organisers might organise some police on the day of the show. But after this, I believe many people will visit the police command in collaboration to secure the environment.
“It could get a bit rough. Some followers may become over-excited and disturb the other fans.”
