The Chief Imam of Abia Central Mosque, Aminu Lawn, handed down this advice in Umuahia during this year’s Eid-el-fitr, advising that the change of government at all levels should be to the good of the common Nigerians.
He urged Dr. Otti “to be good to the people of the state”, adding, “may God help Nigeria over the change of government” in the country.
Also speaking after the Eid-Mubarak service, the traditional ruler of Hausa community in the state and Chairman, South-East, South-South Moslem community, Sarkin Hausawa, HRH Alh. Yaro Danladi urged all to show love to one another, not minding religion or tribe, advising people to carry others along in love.
He urged the federal government that the common Nigeria is hungry and facing hardship, hence the need to ameliorate the suffering.
He further advised citizens of the south-east and south-south states to always show love to their state governments.
The service had retinue of security agents in attendance, including the Police, the Army and the DSS that provided security for the Muslim faithful.
