This was as Ododo said he was committed to building on the developmental strides of the current governor of the state, Yahaya Bello, which, according to him, were achieved through inclusive governance.
Ododo, who arrived at the State House in the company of Bello, told journalists that his wealth of experience in the private and public financial sectors and mentorship from Bello had equipped him to lead the confluence state aright.
The APC candidate said he was confident of the APC’s victory in the November governorship election.
On April 14, 2023, Ododo emerged the Kogi APC governorship candidate through a direct primary election and was ratified through a special congress of the party the next day.
In his address, Governor Bello expressed confidence in Ododo’s capacity to deliver even more wins for the party in the state.
He assured Kogi indigenes of continuity in the infrastructure renewal master-plan, which he said his administration had begun seven years ago.
Bello argued that the APC in Kogi State was united, adding that the party was well-positioned to produce the next governor with a landslide victory.
Back in his office, the President gave his blessings to the APC candidate, advising the Kogi chapter of the party to run an issue-based campaign to ensure that the party retains power in November.
