In a letter addressed to the monarch, Ositelu also promised to continue praying for the peace and progress of the UK.
The letter read in part, “On behalf of the entire congregation of The Church of the Lord Worldwide, the first West African church to be established in the United Kingdom and my humble self, I have the honour to extend to your royal majesty my sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of your coronation as the Majesty, the king of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth countries.
“I will like to take this opportunity to wish your Royal Majesty every success in the fulfilment of your noble and important position. The Church of the Lord Worldwide is committed to praying for the peace and progress of the United Kingdom. I am sure that your Majesty will fulfil this great responsibility with kindness and affection, dedicated to the service of God and humanity.”
Ositelu also asked God to grant the king the wisdom to navigate his new position.
He added, “Wishing you a peaceful reign as the king as you lead your great country to a greater height. The Lord will grant you wisdom, knowledge and understanding, good health, long life and prosperity.”
