The Judge, Shawomi Bokkos, sentenced the convict after he pleaded guilty to the two counts of trespass as well as theft and begged the court for leniency.
The judge gave the convict an option of N10, 000 fine or one-month imprisonment.
Earlier, the police prosecutor, Insp Ibrahim Gokwat, told the court that the case was reported at the Anglo-Jos police station on April 17 by Samuel Elvis.
He said the complainant said the accused person, trespassed into his farm and stole his sheep valued at N 60,000.
The prosecutor further told the court that during the police investigation, the convict confessed to having committed the act.
The offence, he said, contravened the Plateau State Penal Code law of Northern Nigeria.
