Nchekwube, popularly known as Dunga, said this in his 11-point agenda manifesto, entitled “Soludo of the People’s Manifesto” which he unveiled on Thursday ahead of May 23 State Congresses.
He said his leadership would evolve a new generation of loyal party men and women who would proudly identify with APGA, adding that under him, the party flag would be hoisted in every Anambra home.
He said he would work with party stakeholders and faithful to ensure a stable, bigger, and formidable party that would enable Gov. Chukwuma Soludo’s administration to smoothly execute his economic agenda.
Nchekwube said his team would set up an effective internal dispute resolution mechanism to address the genuine grievance of party members and save APGA from development that breeds implosion.
He promised to ensure that the leadership of the party met at the ward meetings at least once a month for effective, efficient, and robust engagements.
According to him, “I plan to continue to encourage more participation of women in politics within my area of influence from ward levels to the state level. I have been an advocate of gender parity in political affairs.
“Under my stewardship, women’s empowerment will not be a token, women would be mainstreamed at all levels of our party because they are equal partners in the political process and must be treated as such.
“There will be a reward mechanism to encourage loyalty and consistency among our party members, especially after an excellent delivery of special tasks such as general elections,” he said.
Nchekwube said he would embark on an aggressive membership drive across the 326 wards in Anambra and ensure that people of voting age got registered as APGA members.
He said he would use his grassroots mobilisation strategy to secure a minimum of 343,000 votes for APGA in Anambra by ensuring that no fewer than 60 persons cast their vote for APGA across the 5,720 polling units in the state.
“APGA State Working Committee with me as chairman will set up the Information Desk for effective feedback and responses.
“I shall appoint a Legal Advisory and Disciplinary Unit to ensure that appropriate correctional measures are established in our party so that members can take responsibility for their actions and inactions,” he said.
He promised to be Chairman for all APGA members and called on Congress delegates to vote for him and make his vision a reality.
