The Chairman and co-founder of a private security firm, Transworld Security Systems Limited, Mrs Victoria Ekhomu, has advised the Federal Government to utilise security technologies, such as drones equipped with CCTV cameras to ensure border security.
According to her, such drones will fly around the borders to transmit security information to a control room for analysis and response.
“This would help to detect where problems are and send help to the place with the appropriate team,” Ekhomu said, adding that “We have to utilise the displacement theory to drive out those that have taken over our forests.”
She spoke after the company won the Award for Outstanding Contract Security Guarding Company, 2023, Outstanding Security Training Initiative, 2023 and Lifetime Achievement Award, at the Securex West Africa Conference and Exhibition.
She added that, “Nigeria can enhance its security architecture by including the private security sector in solving insecurity problems.
